Last Minute Gift Idea!

So, the item you thought you were going to get that special someone sold out or is on back order, don't despair!  Make them a gift basket!  Gift baskets are great gift ideas because you can personalize them to fit the recipient.  Sports, hobbies, new baby, new home, just married couple, etc.  You just need to pick up a few things for that person, get a "basket" (I like to buy small plastic storage boxes from the Dollar Store because they have a secondary use) a little shrink wrap (available at most crafts stores) and some ribbon.    If they are into exercising, you can add energy bars, protein shakes, small 1 or 2 pound dumbbells, etc.  If they are in a new home, you can add Eco-friendly cleaning products, small gift certificates to a home goods store, dish towels, first aid items, etc.  (This will work for a newly married couple too.)  Be creative and have fun!

Wrap it Up!

I wanted to share this great video on gift wrapping...

This week on 'Tis the Season, it's time to wrap some presents.  The guest is Wanda Wen, owner of soolip, a Los Angeles paperie and author of The Art of Gift Wrapping. Wanda brought some amazing wrapping paper, and she'll demonstrate how to wrap a present using only three pieces of double-sided tape; how to wrap a cylinder, and what to do with all those scraps!
