When I was looking for a home based business, one of my primary concerns was real, consistent, residual income. Residual income means that no matter what, you still get paid for work you previously did. The reason this is great is because life happens and when you can't work, it's nice to know that you will still have money coming in to pay the bills. This was so true for me this past Summer when new business was slow. Every month, I still received checks based on work I had done in the Spring. It was a great feeling to know the money would keep coming in.
